Well, we attempt to draw blood from our midlines, but it's not a reliable line to use for that. I believe that the tip meanders over to the vessel wall and gives it a 'hickey' when you pull back aggressively. Repositioning the arm sometimes helps.......

I have a good one.....I must have missed this one, but does anyone out
there know that you CAN'T get a blood return from a midline???  I am not
talking about whether it is right or wrong to DRAW blood from a Midline,
I am talking about checking for placement with a blood return????  I
have always been able to get a blood return when I place mine, but was
told yesterday that "you don't get blood return from a midline"???  This
occurred a few hours after the line was placed.
