We continue to do baseline measurements for arm circumference. Over the past couple of years, we have identified suspicious differences in the arm measurements and recommended a doppler study. In 2 cases, the patient did have a clot in the arm. We always measure prior to line insertion. We do not do any routine follow up measureements.
