Yes we are still doing the
initial baseline circumference in order to have a reference point if needed,
however we have discontinued the daily circumference
measurements.

have stopped doing arm circumferences all together. Initially some of the PICC
Nurses did measure the arm circumference immediately after insertion, but the
floor nurses never measured the arm after that, even when there was a
problem, so we eliminated that step in our procedure.
