According to an analysis of the COOL clinical trial data, there was a 91%
success rate when Cathflo was instilled in catheters with thrombotic
occlusions < 24 hours old. For clots formed within 24 hours up to 2 weeks,
the rate of success was still good but a bit lower at 87% (I think that is
the right %). It drops a bit more after 2 weeks.
The take-home message is to still always try Cathflo no matter how old the
occlusion, but that the sooner it is used the greater the chance of success.

How long after clot formation can tpa be used with reasonable success?
I had a case today where 2 lumens of a triple arrow had been clotted for
about 5 days.
