Don't mention gas prices as that's a 2-edged sword for me. I work in the
natural gas ind. and when prices are high business is great and gas is cheap -
relatively speaking (for me, anyway). When prices are low- business is slow.

I thought my '94 454 Suburban would become my fishing vehicle, but I liked my
04 stretch-cab 8.1 liter Sierra for pulling the toy-hauler much better. Then I
bought an 05 crew-cab Duramax for the mileage, but that became almost a wash
with the high diesel prices. So now I have 3 trucks and still have to decide
which one to take fishin'. But I don't break any rods cause the toy-hauler is
plenty long enough and doesn't have a ceiling fan. When ATV'n from spot to
spot, I break the rod down into 2 halves and put it in the gun-rack. Just join
the two halves again at the new spot, feed out the leader and fly, and I'm
ready again.

Our old '94 Surburban is our fishin' truck........i bought it brand new in
July '94 and it haulded musicians all over North America for 8 years before i
retired it to being nothin' but a fishin' truck........it's got over 200K miles
on it...........still runs great......Compression and torque is as good as
ever.....4th set of brakes and third transmission......but the puppy just hums
at 70mph.
i have a rod rack built inside now that holds 7 rods strung up and ready to
grab and GO! @ alllll times........Nniiccee.............
