Wind knots are a pain in the butt. I quickly manage to get passed the 'not so overly excellent casting' knots... but it seems like the wind knots are going to follow me for the rest of my days. LOL /Nick

I forgot how heavy that rod is. As w/ almost every time I made it out last fall, winds were pretty brisk. Used a 9’ 3x leader & 3x Frog Hair tippet just in case the bass were busting or I hooked another big cat. I spent half of my early fishing undoing wind knots. Hence, the first verse of the 20 Knot Wind, Wind Knot Blues: I was flinging a bugger into a pretty stiff wind, & my 3x frog hair was looking mighty thin.
