I forgot how heavy that rod is. As w/ almost every time I made it out last fall, winds were pretty brisk. Used a 9' 3x leader & 3x Frog Hair tippet just in case the bass were busting or I hooked another big cat. I spent half of my early fishing undoing wind knots. Hence, the first verse of the 20 Knot Wind, Wind Knot Blues: I was flinging a bugger into a pretty stiff wind, & my 3x frog hair was looking mighty thin.
