The smell is gone as soon as it flashes off. That usually takes a few hours
if the flies are outside in the heat.  Toluene is extremely volatile..makes
for quick flash off but you don't want to use it where there is a source of
flames..ie, like near your furnace or water heater. I do mine outside when
I've finished a batch.
