I just found some GREAT black (or VERY dark brown) and white moose man hairs I
have that I'll use to try this with. Chuck

For Mosquitoes, I used light and dark Moose Mane hair. Tied in both
lengths of hair with one behind the other. Wrapped them together at the same
time on the shank giving me the alternating colors for the body.

          Chuck:

A couple of years ago I was in a swap and tied some Mosquitos.

I took a smallish grizzly hackle and pulled all the bards off both
sides
and used it for a quill body.
          CHEAP and functional.

          Thank You,
          Alan Di Somma

Folks: I need some stripped quills to tie some quill
bodied
dry flies etc. But at $3.95 (and UP) for a pack of 24, they are a
little
expensive. And one tiny whiff of bleach gives me the worst headaches
I
have ever had. So, does anybody either have some they'd trade, or
know a
place I can buy them for less than $3.95 per 24?? Thanks, Chuck
