On that trip tarpon. Saw lots but couldn't buy a take. Caught snapper
grouper bonito, spanish macs, ladyfish and jacks. Reds and speckled
trout on other days on the flats. No bonefish (at at least very rare)
in Tejas.

If you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but
not for being in the country illegally ...you might live in a country
founded by geniuses but run by idiots.

My fishing partner's pump died while offshore fishing Friday. He
carries needles as a backup so no real problem. Upon getting back in he
was on the phone to his company. They gave him a lot of grief wanting
him to do diagnostics, but they shipped a new one out of Dallas Friday
nite and it was delivered to the hotel in South Padre Texas 10 am
Saturday morning. I was impressed by the service.

Don: Glad to hear ya got better. Man.. 700?? That could have killed
you, or at least put you into a coma. You were VERY lucky. Do you
just have to watch what ya eat now, or take insulin. I know that
insulin is a bummer. I had a brother in law (who finally died from
uncontroled diabetes at only 32 years old, so it's not something to
mess with. He was having to give him self SIX shots a day, and that
atill didn't do the trick all the time, He started losing his vision,
getting sores all over his feet etc, and finally just gave up and
wouldn't do his shots as he got tired of needles, and it got him. I
saw a commercial the other day for an implanted "pump" that they put
in like a pacemaker, and it monitors your sugar level and sends
insulin to your pancreas. So take care. Chuck
