Yup. melts around 750 degrees F. reminds me of the days when we used lead to
fill in seams etc before bondo for auto body work.

a propane tourch and an aluminum rod made special for doing this type
of repair is the way to go. you can even weld coke cans together wothout
burning a hole in them. My old canoe has several holes repaired this way from
being run agound on sharp rocks. Very easy to use.
