I had the same thing happen at a slew on Crooked Creek but I got the see the Carp. I thought I was snagged but the line slowly started coming up. The Carp was right up on top, it looked like a submarine coming up. It just stayed there for a few seconds and rolled breaking off my last Chili Pepper.
