OK let me make it clear, I don't condemn putting hardware on flies. I have an arsenal that I have tied for bass with hardware. I just don't really like fishing with them. At shows they make a good conversation piece. If hardware is your thing then by all means use it if it is legal where you fish. Dean, I have to agree with you on Dick Surett. I met Dick some years ago, had him sign all my copies of the old Flytyer. Spent several hours visiting with him. Note, there were no ads in the early magazines, all flytying.
