Another thing you can do is check out http://www.tackleworks.org/ There are a couple of rod repairers listed for the state of Texas.
 
I still recommend Ralph though :)  He's taught most of the people that do rod repair, either personally, or through phone calls or articles he has written.

Just broke the tip off one of my old graphite rods.  Broke it 8" from tip.  Clean break. Can't return to factory - cheap rod.   Does anyone know of a way to put the tip back on the rod so that it'll be serviceable?    I have some "shrink tube", but am not sure how well that will work.

Any and all suggestions are welcomed.   Love this old rod and hate to not be able to use it anymore.
