Good of you to ask this question. The same happened to me today. Broke my tip on a big trout - 32", my biggest one to date. Line got wrapped around the tip. Fish made one last run and snap - my once 3-piece EastBranch is now a 4-piece. Was happy and PO'ed at the same time...
I'll try Tony's tip. Thanks Tony.

Just broke the tip off one of my old graphite rods. Broke it 8" from tip. Clean break. Can't return to factory - cheap rod. Does anyone know of a way to put the tip back on the rod so that it'll be serviceable? I have some "shrink tube", but am not sure how well that will work.Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Love this old rod and hate to not be able to use it anymore.
Thanks,
