Tim,
There are several ways to make a nail know. The simplest way I know is to lay a
dental floss loop on the line with the loop facing the tip end of the fly line.
Bring the leader ( line end) around to the back of the dental loop Make five
wraps forward, one in front of the other. Put the tag end through the loop and
pull the tail end of the loop pulling the tag end of the leader through the
wraps. Pull both ends of the leader to tighten.
It only takes about 30 seconds to do.
