Hi All I'm giving an opinion again. I personally don't like a nail knot to attach the backing to the flyline or as an attachment for the leader. I prefer a needle knot for the leader attachment. For the backing I prefer the albrecht (sp) knot. Reason for both knots. The backing will cut the coating on the flyline and slip off. The mono on the leader is not as likely to slip off but it is a possibility. My .o2 worth.
