Tail: Deer hair 15 - 20 fibres.
Body: Deer hair 15 - 20 fibres.
Imitates: Caddisfly (Sedgefly)
Fishing Instructions: Use a floating line or a line with a sinking tip.
Cast the fly let it sit, then give it a twitch and a fast retrieve, then let
it sit.
Tying Instructions:
1. Tie on the thread and run it to the bend of the hook.
2. Tie in a short tail of deer hair.. Run the thread to the front just
behind where the head would be and let the thread hang.
3. Tie on the body material (deer hair) with the tips pointing to the
rear tie the deer hair on by the butt ends just behind where the head should
be. Hang on to the tips of the hair do not allow them to get mixed up with
the tail hair. Wrap the thread sparsely over the body to the bend of the
hook, then tie the body material down at the bend. Run the thread to the
head. Pull the body hair to the front and tie it off. As you tie off the
head pull the tips of the deer hair up and allow it to fan out supporting it
with the thread you use for the head.
4. Tie on a head and cement it to hold the hair up and you're done.
