The first rod I built was a St. Croix SCIV (which I think is the Legend
Ultra), 9 ft. 4wt. I love that rod. G-Loomis makes a great rod also, but the
St. Croix is, IMHO, a sleeper. It's a much better rod than the price tag
indicates.
