Thanks Byron and Rob for the advice on shrink tubing. So far, all I have been able to find (here in Canada) is black pre-cut tubing. I haven't found any clear yet. I want it to put on Waddington shanks to keep the single hook in line (trebles are banned in any river or stream in BC) The problem with single hooks is that one needs a straight eyed, relatively short shank hook which then has to be joined to the waddington shank with a small split ring, otherwise, the hook would be at 90 degrees to the bottom (or top) of the waddington.
This is probably all double dutch to anyone who doesn't fish for steelhead or salmon. Neville Gosling, Surrey, BC
