Call it anything you want, I'm sure they have a standard for what a #14
measures- that's what they'll go by.  A XXX wide gape, 10x-long shank #14
(otherwise known as a #2 streamer hook) just ain't gonna pass scrutiny.

This is a important topic. I fish some waters where we have limits about
hook size. Only hooks size 12 and 14 are alowed. But is it a 12 regular,
or16 wide gape, or 10 short shank....
Are there any standards?
