I agree with those VFBr's that have responded. You need the exact
mixture and this is most easily achieved with syringes, however, DONT be
tempted to use medical syringes as they contain a silicone type lubricant
which will result in "fish eyes" in the finish. By "fish eyes" I mean
areas that the polymer refuses to level evenly. Another suggestion is
don't try to mix a very small quantity, as it is harder to measure equal
halves, even with syringes.
Other members seem to think that old unused finish is ok. I don't,
and would throw the 4 year old finish away and get some fresh. It is not
worth messing up a good blank for the sake of some fresh polymer mix as it
is very difficult to remove once it has set.
