I Agree with Don Ordes, coat the thread wraps with vinyl/ "Fleximent" cement than wrap the flat mylar forward.
I agree with Boab Haering, Counter-rib with Oval Tinsel or Wire of the same or contrasting colour.also his suggestion to use clear Monofilament to "invisible rib" the fly...
I agree with the person who also stated that they had their flies destroyed by fish before they were able to worry about the Mylar falling off..Sorry i can't recall your name.
I'm sure John Martinez has something there with the use of a "Super Glue" type coment to bond the body into place, Never tryed so I cannot agree or disagree. If I was going to try that route I'd use "ZAP-A-GAP CA+" type cement, thicker than Super Glue..no spreading allover the place, and i have found it is a Hell of alot stronger then Super Glue types.. Careful when one uses any type of "Super Glue" type cements...if you touch or get any on the "outside" of the body it will leave a cloudy mark..
