I agree completely with what Joyce said. The whiting 100 packs are a great place to start. They'll save you a lot of time and trouble for a couple of reasons. First off, like Joyce mentioned, they're pre-sized and available in all kinds of colors. Secondly, you really do get a LOT of flies tied out of a whiting 100 pack. If you picked up a neck, you'd get a ton more feathers, but only a small percentage of them would be useful for flies in the sizes you mentioned.
