OK. I'm stuck! Really stuck!
I am tying some zonkers on a #4 streamer hook. After laying down a bed of
thread, I am wrapping the hook with yarn to give it some thickness. I am
having trouble with the braided metalic mylar coming unbraided at both ends.
Not so bad for the butt end. . .makes a nice tail.
But the head end is causing me some real problems.

Here's what I have tried so far.
    - wrapping the yarn tighter
    - cutting the mylar longer

Neither one is very effective. Could it be that I am using mylar that is
too small in diameter after removing the core? An inferior grade of mylar?
Maybe the yarn is too thick? Or is there a glitch in my method?

Desperate,
Doug
