I'm guessing this got lost in all the chicken plucking, pig flucking, Co-op mucking posts this morning, so here it goes again.......

All,

I finally got around to start tying my Quill Gordons for the bench swap last night, and as I was stripping peacock herl for the bodies, I noticed that I wasn't seeing the light stripe that I was used to seeing on the quill. I stripped a bunch of different quills from the eye and from up and down the stem. They all seem to have a uniform brown shade the entire length. Anybody ever run into this before? Is this a dyed feather, or is it just the way peacock is now?
