        It all started out with my having problems stripping peacock herls for Quill Gordons.  When I stripped off the herl, there wasn't the usual light strip where the fuzzies came off.  In the old days, when I erasered the fuzzies off, there was always a nice light toned stripe on the edge of the herl.  This herl had an even brown tone on the whole quill.  Hence, Dean suggested I bleach the fuzzies off.
