I am excited for your Jimi. I built a short rod but used a short rod blank
that I got from Hook and hackle. they were very good to help me (first rod)
and had all the stuff I needed, guides, etc. My rod turned out to be just
6.5 feet, made it on a fiberglass blank ( I do believe that it may have been
a spinning rod blank though I don't know this for sure) one piece and I
