I've found the best time to go is whenever you can get away......
Smallmouth don't care much about our discomfort in the air temp.

I assume you mean Horeshoe Cienega, right? Straightned out your hook you
say.... Hummmm .....Big Carp?    Probably a BIG brown.

Best fishing I had one time was in a snow storm on Woods Canyon.
Hope you can get out tomorrow to fish. The Greer lakes should be fun.
