What is really amazing about this stuff is if you tie a fly with it and then want to reclaim the hook for some reason, you cannot just untie and pull the material off. You have CUT the material off with A RAZOR. It penetrates that deep and that well. Secondly, SALLY HANSEN'S "Hard as Nails" is definitely the best shiny finish you can use !! BUT be sure you get the Hard as Nails WITH NYLON !! It is on the label just below "hard as Nails" very prominent. you cannot miss it. Unless I need a large build up on the head or body, I seldom use epoxy on my heads any more. In fact. in the tropical heat, hard as nails out performs epoxy.
