Depends. If I cast a fly over the same fish a number of times and he does not move toward or away I change flys. If he moves away, I'll change tippets. If he follows but doesn't take, I change my presentation. My opinion is that a fly you believe in will be cast many times and often result in a take. There are exceptions of course.
