Don't know about the Llama wool, but can tell you how I do the Wolf. I
normally soak it in a pan with "Woolite" and warm water for a bit. Wring it
out and rinse it well. Then I put it on a paper towel and spread it out to
dry. When it is dry I use a worn out "Clean" pet brush and stroke it. As the
brush fills I clean it off and put it in bags to use. I normally only brush
a small amount at a time for what I am going to use. When I need more I
clean some more. Right now I have 2 or 3 zip locks with un-cleaned fur in
them. It makes a great dubbing material and since it is "Naturally" water
resistant I plan on trying it for some scuds and nymphs and emergers to see
if it will "Trap those Bubbles". Who knows ??
Now that I think about it. that may have been a good item for me to have
used in the material swap, hind sight is always 20-20. Maybe I could offer
to swap some for other materials in a materials swap ?

I have some of this from years back for craft projects. I picked it up from
a lady that raised llamas and was showing them at a 4H show. I never
thought of using it for this. How do you wash and prepare it. It seems a
little long to dub with the way it is now.
