Deb, The thick underhair can be spun like a wool head, and the long guard hairs could possibly be used as the 'wing' , but I'd go with a fur strip. Sticks, seeds, etc. I asked my wife's sister for some wool and she gave me a bag that she had gathered from her pets.  It is not "processed"  Not cleaned (except for what I picked out by hand), not washed, not carded, and not dyed.  Just raw llama wool.  Great struff!
