Doug, For dubbing difficult to manage dubbings (like "Bob's (H) dubbing from hell"), synthetic dubbings, and long-hair dubbings, plus everything in between, see the article on 'rope-dubbing' on the vfb features page.  One mastered, it is extremely fast, no prep time, no wax, no loop, good for size #32 to 14/0,  wet or dry, segmented or not, fuzzy or clean, single or multicolored, one step, ability to be multi-tapered, able to be done on thread or wire, works with peacock, is durable, and is fun to do.   The ice-dub was the perfect application (see vfb article for that, too), as it is very tough to dub with conventional methods, and dulls with wax and finger-oil.  Llama is a natural with the long fibers- makes great segments.  Peacock can be roped over wire with a long hackle (you'll have them now) for a bullet-proof wooly-worm/bugger body.   DonO ----- Original Message ----- From: Dr. Doug Miller   From time to time I will run across material that is either a little difficult to dub (too long, coarse, etc.) or not exactly the color I want.
