I have the FFF pattern encyclopedia and it is a great book for $40. A nice compliment to what you can find on the 'net. I also read Fly Tyer and American Angler along with Fly Fisherman, Fly Rod & Reel and my favorite, Fly Fishing and Tying Journal. I also get Midwest Fly Fishing. I like to read at bedtime and the mags fill the bill nicely. It should be noted that you can get these mags at great subscription prices on e-bay

I was thinking about getting a good overall pattern book, I currently have:
1) Fly Patterns, Taff Price
2) Fish Flies Volume One, Terry Hellekson
3) Fly Tyers Masterclass, Oliver Edward (kind of advanced for me, but cool)
So you can see my library is limited. Any suggestions on a good overall
pattern book? I was thinking about "F.F.F. Pattern Encyclopedia. I don't
have $100 to spend but $50 sound more like it. Any idea's?
