Aren't  sinking lines denser?  I know when  I add a detachable sink tip to a 
line it's like thrashing water with a 1/2 inch piece of rope.  I'm srue some 
of this is atributible to the "hinge" effect but I always reasoned that it 
was mostly due to the weight.
