I coat the feather with Sally Hansens 'Hards as Nails' first. Get weird looks from women at the cosmetics counter when I'm shopping for it though. Comes in clear, clear w/sparkles (my fave) and tints. I was told once that it was the same stuff as 'Daves Flexament'. Don't know for sure but it works well for me and cheep!!
