You will find the leader is real important. I did not figure this out by myself.
I started fishing for bass at a local pond and was having a heck of a time trying to 
cast a bug.
I had a 8' tapered leader on the line. Another fisherman came up to me and said he 
could help. All he did was remove the tapered leader, put on about 3 to 4' of 10 # 
mono and I was is
business. We became good friends and fished together for the next four years. We still 
get together when I make a trip back east.
