As hard as we have tried to ban corn, we have not succeeded.
We did manage to get it banned for chumming in the C&R
areas. The guides would chum with corn in the C&R areas and
use a little yellow fuzz ball as the fly. Some still do it
but the fine is real heavy if caught.
Tony- The Yellow Breeches section near Boiling Springs gets a lot of tourists who throw bread to the fish. The trout look healthy and well fed but folks who fish that section use yarn "flys" called honeybugs. Fortunately, this is a section only 50 yards long and the fish below are smaller but select flys resembling natural food. I believe the state stocks older breeders in this section just for the tourists. Now I wonder if the bread and white fly hatch fame have any correlation?
