-- PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals I don't know how much of their energy and money goes into really trying to improve the conditions of animals, and how much goes into guerilla tactics to disrupt and harrass.
The local head of PETA in my area was on the radio one day telling about their program, and describing her vegan life style. One interesting point she made is that she even combs the fleas out of her pets (which are stricly vegan dogs and cats) and then releases the fleas back into her back yard. Which, of course, allows them to hop back on the little pets, as they stagger weakly out to leave their little white stools, and gives her another opportunity for humanely carressing the fleas again. Wouldn't it be more humane to allow them to nest on her? And complete their right to reproduce in peace?
