For the record, using eelskin for a muddler wing is not my idea - Jan Reniers of Holland showed it to me, and I think that the Scots used eelskin long ago. Jan's flies are on Henk's site. This Muddler is a great pattern for Lake Oostvoorne.

Eel soup wasn't made from Eel in the past. Nowadays they use to put Eel in it to avoid the questioning of the tourists.

BTW: Mart Westbeek uses Eel skin for muddler wings. Met him during a show here in Cologne yesterday.
