If you want to tie the wings along the back in their rest position, I have a
good candidate material.  It's an iridescent transparent cellophane that's very
light and flexible.  It's not strong enough to tie upright or extended like
spinner wings.  

I used it in the pattern I tied for last year's caddis swap, which you can see

I have three or four tons of it and would be glad to send some out to you if
