Thanks for taking the time to look Mark. I don't remember them being transparent but they may have been. They are pretty big (that's why I thought dragonfly) about an inch long maybe 1-1/2in. long. Very fast agile swimmers. They could turn on less than a dime and were very graceful unlike some nymphs I've seen...
