years ago I read about a study. They used butter and wraped it into gold and silver colored paper.
They gave o golden and a silver box to people and ask them which butter has the better taste. All said that the tast of the gold butter was better, they didn't knew that is was the equal product.
There is a intersting book from Clarke and Gopddard: The trout and the fly. They observed already, that red is a very effective spice for trout flies. They said, that trout usually feed at evenings, and that due to the light conditions (sunset) there are red reflections on the flies body and wings.

Rene, I was glad to know that red works elsewhere than in my immediate fishing neighborhoods. Isn't it interesting that red catches both fish and people's eye..as try a chocolate sundae with and without a red cherry..the choice will almost always be that people choose the one with the red cherry.. Perhaps both just find it more attractive..more like, "here comes dessert". What do you think?
