For commercial tying and for my own use, Tiemco and Daiichi.  Both make good strong sharp hooks.  I used to use Mustad, and still have a bunch, which I use for the classes I teach --they're fine for "practice".    But I found that Mustad's quality control is poor.  In almost every box of 100 hooks I find at least 3-4 that are misshapen in some way.  This hardly ever happens with the Tiemcos or Daiichis.

Subject: [VFB] What is your preferred hook brand?

I was wondering what your preferred hook brand is?   Based on durability, sharpness and appearance of the finished product, what hook brand do you prefer to use for your personal tying?
