So my question is, do any of you smoke cigarettes while tying flies, or in your tying room? If so then your flies would probably hold that smell in them as well, and do you think it will affect the fishability of the flies?
Bass and bluegills will feed on butts so I think it's not a problem. I smoke outside but the smell stays on my fingers. Never saw a trout refuse one of my flys close in where the smell might be a factor. Most refusals are more than 6" away.
