Hi Keith,
My husband carved me a tailing redfish with lots of different sized holes, for
side cutters, small comb, bodkin, hair packer, bobbins, scissors, and whip finisher.
I have a 3 round holes, one for glue and 2 for 5 minute epoxy.

Keith,

My thoughts are along a similar vein. In your 'shop' you could also have some smaller accessories... for example, last summer I really regret not getting a big ceramic trout mug (big front section of trout upward pointing with gaping mouth as the opening in the cup) that was offered at a local grocery store. Would have made a perfect container for art markers at the tying bench.

Someone also mentioned earlier a vase-like object to hold peacock and pheasant tail feathers. That could easily be made out of wood with pegs on the outside to hold something like Flashabou and Krystal Flash hanks. I could use just a SMALL tying tool stand made of wood to organize a few tying tools while at a tying expo. Personally I don't need one of those thingees that holds zillions of spools of thread, tinsel, etc. as when I am tying I use maybe one or two spools, and the rest are organized and out of the way in a bin somewhere.

How about a little open topped wood box with a few magnetic lined compartments to hold the hooks of the day?

A lot of people will 'try out' a new vendor by buying something small first. Impulse buys, small items, etc. When they are happy with what they get, then the bigger ticket items like tying stations become more easily saleable.
