Jeff,

The Green is one of the greatest trout streams in the
country and I would think you know enough to do a trip
on your own unless you don't have a boat and would
like to float the river (which is the best way to fish
it). I run it every year in late april and sept
because the hatches are amazing and the crowds are
thinner. The rafters take over in spring after the
middle of may and hang on all summer which makes
fishing a bit less fun, and damn crowded. If you can
cast and know your bugs (ask at the conoco at Dutch
John what's hitting), you all should be fine wading up
section A or Upper B. You'll LOVE it!
