I use Orvis tippet material. My knot to attach a fly with is the
improved clinch with one variation. I run the tippet through the eye of
the hook twice and then proceed with the improved clinch knot. Running
the tippet twice through the eye makes the knot stronger since there is
two lengths of tippet holding the eye. I've never had this knot come
untied and it doesn't affect the casting of the fly. What do I call
it? Double-eyed improved Clinch .
