Hey Ronan, I'm anything but an expert on rotary vices, but from my personal experience, you can tie better flies - faster. The quality I like most is being able to see around the hook through a simple rotation, instead of scrunching over or around the stationary vise. I've been told you can wrap thread around the hook via the rotation, but I personally have never tried it... too used to stationaries to change my ways, or even try it... Just my $0.02 -Pete
